Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Coralline application and website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by Reef Dev, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in the State of Florida.

2. Description of Service

Coralline is an aquarium parameter tracking and visualization application designed for reef and freshwater hobbyists. The Service allows you to:

Features may vary based on your subscription plan. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

Each account is intended for use by a single individual. You may not share your account credentials with others or create multiple accounts for the same person.

4. User Data Ownership

You own your data. All aquarium data, test logs, livestock records, photos, and other content you create within the Service remains your property.

By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will not use your data for any other purpose without your explicit consent.

6. Subscription and Billing

The Service offers the following plans:

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

7. Free Trial

New users receive a 21-day free trial of Pro features, beginning after the creation of their first tank. During the trial, you have access to all Pro features at no cost.

At the end of the trial period, your account will revert to the Free plan unless you subscribe to a paid plan. Your data will be retained, but features beyond the Free plan limits will become unavailable until you upgrade.

8. Refund Policy

Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. If you cancel a monthly subscription, you will continue to have access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.

Annual subscriptions (if offered in the future) may be eligible for a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of the subscription term. Refund requests should be directed to support@coralline.app.

9. Service Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available and operational. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from Service downtime or interruptions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reef Dev, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Important: The Service is a data tracking and visualization tool. It does not provide veterinary, scientific, or professional aquarium management advice. Decisions about your aquarium care should be made based on your own judgment and professional guidance where appropriate.

11. Intellectual Property

The Coralline name, logo, design system, and all original content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by Reef Dev, LLC and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of all content you create within the Service (see Section 4). You may not use our branding, trademarks, or proprietary materials without our prior written consent.

12. Account Termination

By you: You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your data enters a 30-day soft-delete period before permanent removal. Active subscriptions will be canceled, and you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.

By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination, except in cases of severe violations.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Florida.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at the address associated with your account at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.
